Roger Federer 6-7/7-6/6-4 Mardy Fish Cincinnati Masters Highlights

Roger Federer has defended his Cincinnati Masters title after a solid performance in the North American Masters Series event scheduled earlier this month. After reaching the Final in Toronto, Federer grabbed the title in Cincinnati.

Mardy Fish played a great tournament defeating the likes of 2010 Canada Masters Winner, Andy Murray and local hero Andy Roddick. Watch the extended highlights of this Final in the above embedded Youtube video.

The Cincinnati Masters Final was a head to head battle between two great servers. The former No.1 entered the match as strong favorite, but Fish surprisingly managed to grab the first set after a tiebreaker. The second set was similar, the only difference was the Federer won the tie and sent the match into a decider.

Fish served great in the final set too and both players went head to head to reach 4 games all. Federer managed the break in the following game to serve home for a second back-to-back Cincinnati Masters title.

The 2010 US Open is the following important event. The last Grand Slam tournament of the year. Roger Federer seems main favorite to regain the crown, with last year’s winner, Juan Martin Del Potro being out of the way, due to injury. Rafael Nadal, current ATP leader, and the main player of season 2010, showed signs of weakness during the North American tournaments and his US Open history places him only second favorite to win the title and the major bookmaking companies.
