Davydenko reached the Final after defeating a fever suffering Nadal in the semis. The Russian wasn’t able to defend his ATP Doha title, but shows improving shape ahead of the first Grand Slam event of the season.

Roger is seeded No.2 for the Aussie Open, just behind his arch rival and actual World No.1 Rafael Nadal. Federer has to defend this Grand Slam title in order to be able to target the comeback to the ATP top spot, in the next summer.
