Nadal 6-4 6-3 2-6 7-5 Djokovic Highlights

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic produced one more blockbuster tennis match during the 2012 French Open Final. Either winner could have produced a record breaking performance in case of a win. It was the Spaniard that prevailed and won a historic record breaking 7th Roland Garros title. Nadal confirmed once again that he truly is the ‘King of Clay’ and no one can deny this.

Rafa played 8 Roland Garros tournaments in his career and won 7 of them. The only year he missed the title was 2009, when he recorded his first and only defeat at Stade Roland Garros. Robin Soderling defeated him and cleared the path for Roger Federer’s missing Grand Slam title.

Novak Djokovic is still the man to beat though. He showed that he can match Rafa but still has to upgrade his clay court game in order to be able to defeat the Spaniard in Paris. Nole remains World No. 1 and is seen by many as main favourite to defend his Wimbledon title. He has to do it if he wants to keep is top ranking secure.

Wimbledon is special this year as it will host the 3rd Grand Slam event of the season as well as the 2012 Olympic Tennis tournament. So feeling well on London’s grass will have a double impact for the top players. We recommend you to watch Wimbledon live and see one more episode of the historic battle between the top 4 players of the world Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.
